Neil Patel has lived that dream -- more than once. And he’s still not satisfied.
Like many young entrepreneurs, his path to entrepreneurship was a little wild. There was that brief period in high school reselling black boxes (profitably, we might add, though he realized the error of his ways and moved on quickly). Later, a stint cleaning toilets at Knott’s Berry Farm -- Neil’s one and only “corporate” experience.
After realizing consulting -- specifically, in the age of the .com boom, Internet marketing consulting -- was where the real money was, Neil started landing major consulting contracts in college, eventually using some of the cash to start his first software company, Crazy Egg.
Time flies: By the time he was just 21 years old, Neil was named one of the top influencers on the Web by Wall Street Journal AND one of the top entrepreneurs in the nation by Entrepreneur mag.
He parlayed some of that success into KISSmetrics, a booming business analytics company -- which he hopes to turn into the $100M startup of his dreams.
A digital marketing genius, Neil’s played a major role helping some very BIG brands grow, like Amazon and AOL. Most notably, he helped grow TechCrunch’s traffic 30 percent in -- wait for it -- 6 months.
