Yes, customer service is everyone's job, as John Jantsch states, but this seems to be a foreign concept to many small businesses. I am continually amazed at the lack of customer service that I frequently experience when I visit local small businesses. Employees seem miserable and certainly far from glad to see you. I can only assume that this attitude is flowing down from the top, which is a true shame!

Nice piece of advice. I'd add one more tip, finish what you started before starting anything else... Many of the first time entrepreneurs have a habit of spreading themselves way too thin by getting into dozens if not hundreds of ideas and initiatives and not being able to finish or bring a decent closure to any of those... It's very important to understand the power of finishing and then moving to next...

[...] a restaurant, a deliveries firm. That’s what videos and financial statements are for. In fact in my opinion getting funding for more brick and mortar start ups and striking a balance with tech upstarts would be the biggest rock to move for Grow VC and consequently its biggest stand out achievement.
Having met Ryan personally on a few occasions, I am really proud of this story. Often times, even this level of perseverance might not pay off, but its clear that a focus on ROI helped pour the foundation for this incredible company.
I also have seen Ryan use his success very aggressively to help those in need, and I'm sure he will do great things.

My hats off.
