She specializes in working with start-ups and high-growth companies and coaches start-up leadership teams on workforce development and performance.
Susan's honed her HR and talent acquisition chops with brands like The Ritz-Carlton, Marriott International, The Home Depot, Carnival Cruise Lines and Arthur Andersen and has spoken to leaders, students and companies around the world.
She has shared insight with and written for publications like The Wall Street Journal, Inc., CBS Radio, Forbes, the New York Times, Oprah Radio, The Washington Post, is the author of two books: The Right Job, Right Now (St. Martin’s Press) and Vault’s Guide to HR Careers and took a long, hard test to become certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Susan's student loan debt comes from her MBA from Vanderbilt University, an MA from The George Washington University in Human Resource Development and a BA in Communications from Virginia Tech. Susan’s coffee-induced work ethic is spurred by new music and a splash of Philadelphia-born honesty. She currently works and lives with her husband in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia.
