Steph Auteri is the founder of Word Nerd Pro, a one-stop word nerd shop offering a variety of writing, editing, and coaching services. She has been published in Playgirl, Time Out New York, Nerve, The Frisky, and other bastions of fine writing, and has edited everything from books to newspapers to iPhone app content for Vogue magazine. She has also co-written an ebook with Ian Kerner -- a noted sex counselor and the author of She Comes First -- called 52 Weeks of Amazing Sex. A subsidiary of Word Nerd Pro, Career Coaching for Word Nerds was created with an eye toward building a community of fellow word nerds and publishing professionals who can share stories, experiences, tips, and resources with their peers, and also connect with established experts within the industry. Through this, Steph offers one-on-one coaching and consulting. In addition to her regular services, Steph also planned and executed a Word Nerd Networking event that attracted 75 writers, editors, and other publishing professionals. The event earned outstanding participant reviews, and spawned a monthly, virtual speed networking event hosted on Brazen Careerist, plus plans for additional, in-person events.
