Crowdfunding: What's it really mean for new companies -- and for investors? What impact do you see this having on the startup community, if at all?
Kickstarter facilitated more arts funding than the NEA last year, and for good reason. It's an awesome platform if you have a product that people are interested in buying but simply can't unless they contribute to your campaign. You'll learn if a market exists and potentially define your space in the marketplace. Just be sure to have a serious marketing strategy to avoid a failed campaign.
