Lauren Perkins is a brand marketer and digital evangelist best known for her work in delivering Brandcentric business strategies. In 2008, Lauren started Perks Consulting, a digital brand and marketing agency specializing in the fusion of lifestyle and technology. As Founder and CEO, Lauren is the driving force behind the agency’s mission to develop brands, products and campaigns that build and strengthen businesses.
Perks works closely with every client to align brand with business, products with platforms and marketing with media - ensuring the target audience is being provided the right message, on the right platform, at the right time. Her brandcentric, customer experience driven approach has led to successful engagements with startups and consumer brands that include OneResult, eDiets, 85Broads, Cookstr, Bloomingdales and Pfizer.
Lauren developed an acute ability for storytelling during her early work as a local news journalist. She later moved on to cultivate her instinctive skills for brand marketing with her work at The Boston Globe, Nike, and Crunch Fitness. At Crunch, Lauren was able to create a sustainable experiential community program that realized lead generation growth of 500% over a two-year period. Lauren made similar advancements as the former Director of Marketing at Laser Cosmetica. Leading this company’s national expansion, Lauren drove marketing, branding, and infrastructure development, resulting in 450% revenue growth and 275% retail location expansion within two years.
A three-time entrepreneur, Lauren is a sought-after thought leader in the area of business growth and digital innovation. In 2009, Lauren invested in the first ever women's executive network, 85Broads, and in 2011, Lauren was invited to be one of 50 global emerging female leaders to attend the inaugural Banco Santander “W50” summit at UCLA Anderson, School of Management.
Growing up a competitive athlete turned trainer and coach, Lauren now repurposes this passion to lead and advise with regular lecturing at General Assembly, a campus for technology, design, and entrepreneurship. Lauren can also be found speaking on panels including Internet Week New York (IWNY), Entrepreneur Week, OBOW 20th Anniversary Health & Fitness Conference and NYU Stern MBA Summit. Lauren has authored articles as a regular contributor to Inc., and as a guest columnist for Forbes Woman, Business Insider, Young Entrepreneur, and Women 2.0. She supports the New York tech startup and entrepreneurship community as a mentor for the Entrepreneur Roundtable Accelerator, Women Innovate Mobile Accelerator, and as the co-Director for the Young Entrepreneur Council.
When she’s not shaking things up with Perks' clients, Lauren can be found embracing her athletic spirit racing triathlons by summer and snowboarding the slopes in the winter.
