Jerry Piscitelli is the co-founder of PORTOPONG LLC, the world’s first inflatable beer pong table company. A fun product by nature but like any business owner determined to succeed it has tested Jerry’s background in public relations, web design, graphic arts, and social media marketing while expanding his depth of knowledge in retail and consumer behavior. He has used is entrepreneurial spirit to network with many brands in this non-mainstream industry to rapidly become a name brand. Featured once in Entrepreneur Magazine as a product to watch for and later featured on Fox Business Networks’ “America’s Nightly Scoreboard” the PORTOPONG brand has rapidly grown through his determination. He has succeeded in getting his brand in Maxim, Rolling Stone, GQ magazine and on E! ‘The Girl’s Next Door’. Jerry, an eagle scout, also uses his business to help others; from sponsoring Toys For Tots events, donating to charities, and helping raise over $3000 for the Keep A Breast Foundation. Jerry is a 2002 Sigma Phi Epsilon graduate of the Eastern Connecticut State University with a B.A. in communications as well as a proud husband and father.

Q&A with Jerry Piscitelli:

What is the biggest perk of owning your own business?

For me, a big value in owning my own business is all the work put into is mine :the designs, website, packaging -- everything you see, I had my fingers on and thought of. Coming from and still being part of the creative design world, it's sometimes a frustration when asked to "make the red more red" in a design. Owning is sort of a therapy session.
