Jean-Marc worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at UBS Investment Bank in New York, and was most recently an investment professional at Ripplewood Holdings, a US/Japan based Private Equity fund, where he conducted transactions within the Financial Technology, IT, and Consumer Products sectors. Jean-Marc also managed portfolio companies at Ripplewood, where he led various business development and financial planning teams. Jean-Marc holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and was a participant and organizer of the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. He lives and works in New York.
What is the best way for a teenage entrepreneur to go about finding a mentor?
Human beings have a natural willingness to help, so just ask them. Everyone has asked for help at some point in their lives. Surround yourself with people that believe in you. These individuals that believe in you are your advocates. Ask them for introductions to individuals you think can help your company succeed. Once you find your mentor, prove that you can listen to his/her advice.
