Who is your hero?
Ralph Waldo Emerson.
What’s the single best piece of business advice that helped shape who you are as an entrepreneur today, and why?
Always have a crystal clear idea of your company's finances and how those funds are being spent.
What’s the biggest mistake you ever made in your business, and what did you learn from it that others can learn from too?
Taking on a project for the sake of additional work. There are projects not worth the money or the personal strife that comes along with working with the associated people.
What do you do during the first hour of your business day and why?
I go through my color-coded and priority-sorted to-do list and plan out my day against the meetings, calls and travel scheduled.
What’s your best financial or cash-flow related tip for entrepreneurs just getting started?
Project conservatively and budget based on those original numbers...and make sure to stick to it.
Quick: What’s ONE thing you recommend ALL aspiring or current entrepreneurs do right now to take their biz to the next level?
Just do it. Start. Stop thinking about it. Fail. And then fail again. You're bound to succeed in some capacity if you keep at it.
What's your definition of success? How will you know when you've finally "succeeded" in your business?
I define success as ongoing enjoyment, satisfaction and pride in our work (mine and my employees).
